5th October 2017 Katie Brook's story from her Just Giving Page -
I am running for Oxfam in support of such an amazing charity who aim to put a stop to poverty worldwide, enabling people globally to have their basic human right to survival and saving lives. Your donation will help peoples lives to be saved every day. Poverty has been halves in 15 years and in 15 more, extreme poverty can be ended for good if you donate what you can now!!
Your donations will help ensure that one day every family has food to eat, every child has a brighter future and everyone is kept safe when disaster strikes.
When Oxfam offered me a place to run with them, i was very excited but also wanted to cry for what i had got myself in for! Any donation large or small will help motivate me at my worst to carry out my training coming up in the cold winter months ahead and ultimately on race day 23 April 2017. My mental grit and body will be tested to its full in the 26 miles ahead, but knowing i will be raising money for such a great charity will get me through each mile. Every penny will help to beat poverty!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
As a senior property manager, she supervises important matters such as property management accounting.
